Brian Collins, Cllr. Kells Town Council       

Brian Collins at 33 years old is the youngest Councillor in the North Meath Area. He lives on the Cavan Road, Kells. He commutes daily to Dublin where he works in the Institute of Public Administration.

In the Local Elections 2004 Brian secured the second Labour Party seat on Kells Town Council for the first time in nineteen years. Brian is a member of Meath County Council's Special Policy Committee on the Environment a subject in which he is deeply interested.

Brian is also the Staff Representative on the Board of the IPA, the first person to be elected to a second term as a Workers Director. Brian is a former Secretary of Kells Tidy Towns and a former Chairperson of the Kells Environment Group.

He is presently Chairperson of the Kells Branch of the Labour Party and Chairperson of the Meath West Constituency Council.

He has recently declared his intention to seek the nomination of the Labour Party to contest the Meath West Constituency in the next General Election.
